Initially I planned on one piece of art a day (anything small counts, like a journal page) - which was inspired by the "Julie and Julia" movie. But well, it's day 119 and sadly, I have NOT produced 119 pieces of art. Not even close. I'm tempted to blame it on my two little ones, who I serve most of their waking hours ;-) But then again, hey, I wouldn't have it any other way. If I'd sent my 5 year old to a full time program and my 3 year old to a daycare, I'd be very unhappy. I'm already sad thinking about the fact that my 5 year old will be going to Kindergarten full time in the fall.
Anyway, I did some art projects ... some of which were absolutely looking like a first grader's art. Others, that I'm quite proud of. I was going to show a few on this blog today, but then there is the fact that I have to take time to photograph and edit them first. So hopefully tomorrow!
I am a photographer though and I have decided that my photographs count as part of my journey of uncovering my creativity. Although it is not a new skill, I have evolved a lot since I started and it is something I truly enjoy. So here are a few recent photos I took and edited ...
These are my kiddos sorting their new-found shells.
I love how they get so much joy from the simple things in life.
