In my art journal

I love transferring magazine images to my art journal.
They offer quick (with advanced preparation) interest to start my journalling.
Sometimes I prep the page by painting it first and sometimes I paint on top of it.
However, after transferring 3 images on this page I didn't have the heart to cover it too much.
To me it looked refreshing and peaceful.
I just added a bit of journalling -
my reaction of how I felt right after the transfer was complete :)

I hope you have a chance to rest and relax this weekend!

My style

I think I have found my style.
Random doodling.
Is that even a style?
I don't know.
But I like living in the land of randomness.
Drawing one thing that leads to another thing and then to another -
Expressing what's on my mind at that exact time.

Maybe this is why I have hard time finishing real paintings.
I get bored.
It's hard to keep my mind on the same thing for days.

Here is my latest random art journal entry.

I have quite a few other journalling exercises that have been waiting to be finished ...

Maybe I'll turn them all into random works of doodle pages :)

Dreamy journalling

I am still following Misty's class
I love the variety of inspiration she gives us.

I especially love the iphone art
and journalling prompts.
It's surprising to me,
because I signed up to improve my painting techniques.
I wanted to know how to REALLY paint.
Instead, I have fallen deeper into
the dreamy, random and surreal way of art making.

I'm learning that sometimes the most satisfying things
do not have to be complicated.

The last journal entry is dedicated to my new, best friend -
who continually encourages me to make something out of my "art making".
You are the best Z!
